Sara M. Robinson, 92, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 65 years, James, who passed on May 22, 2017.
Sara, often known as Sally, was born on August 31, 1930 in Lock Haven and was the daughter of Russell and Louise Solt Evans. For most of her life she was a homemaker but she spent several very rewarding years as a teacher’s aide in the Williamsport School district.
She was a member of Bethel-Linden Presbyterian Church, a founding member of the local chapter of the Association for Children with Learning Disabilities and a member of the Williamsport Garden Club. She and James enjoyed square dancing with the Swingin’ Bees and Honeys. Sally was an avid reader and an outstanding seamstress.
She is survived by four daughters, Paula Robinson, Pamela (Curtis) Fink, Patti Jo (James) Turner, all of Williamsport, and Penni Parker of State College. She has five grandchildren, Brian Fink, Christina Furister, Kyle Turner, Mia Turner and Austin Parker; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Clifford and Robert Mays of New York, and was pre-deceased by her sister, Gloria Harvey.
Sally’s daughters would like to express their profound gratitude to everyone at the Williamsport Home for the kindness, respect, and loving care she received as a resident there.

March 26, 2023 at 4:00 pmI cannot tell you how sad i am to hear that Sara has passed. I knew the day would come but it did take me by surprise. Such a beautiful picture of Sara in blue. She truly was so beautiful and sweet inside and out! She brightened my day every time she and your dad would come to the office for their appointments! If the world were full of more “sara’s” it would be a much happier place! My heart aches for your family because i know she touched all of you and you loved her so much and she loved you all! She would speak of each of you so fondly! I know God has a special place in mind for her together now with Jim!
The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want! He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He restores my soul. He leads in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea though i walk in the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and i will dwell in the house of the lord forever! Psalm 23
Rest in Peace my dear friend Sara. I love you!

March 27, 2023 at 8:20 pmI MET SALLY ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AT THE CTL, WE WERE THERE FOR THE SUMMER MATINEE. SHE CAME OVER AND INTRODUCED HER SELF, BECAUSE SHE HAD SEEN ME IN CHUCH, THAT WAS SI SWEET IF HER, THEN IN CHURCH WHEN I WAS THERE, SHE WOULD MAKE IT DOWN TO WHERE I WAS IN FRONT (IN MY WHEEL CHAIR) AND HUG ME, IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR HER, MADE SHE DID. SUCH A SWEET AND LOVING LADY. I ONLY GOT TO SEE HER ONCE, AFTER SHE WENT TO THE WILLIAMSPORT HOME. HARD TO GET AROUND. I KNOW SHE IS IN HEAVEN, WITH OUR SAVIOR, MAKING FRIENDS AND BEING HER SWEET AND LOVING SELF. I WILL MISS YOU, YOUR MEMORY WILL BE ETERNAL TO MANY.
