Raymond J. Casselberry, Jr., 91, of 335 Schoolhouse Rd., passed away at home on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. His wife the former Helen Mayer passed away in 2016.
Raymond was born on December 29, 1926 in Williamsport and was a son of Raymond J. Sr. and Katie Knapp Casselberry.
He graduated from the industrial course at Williamsport High School in 1944 and went on to serve his country during WW II in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed as a carpenter and also worked for several area construction companies. Raymond was a member of Balls Mills United Methodist Church, past member of Warrensville Lions Club. He also assisted with boy scouts when his sons were young and was involved in several horse organizations with his daughter. He enjoyed woodworking/cabinet making, hunting, fishing, nature and his family.
Raymond is survived by three sons, Leslie (Donna) Casselberry of Williamsport, Melvin (Vicki) of Hughesville, Raymond J. (Barbara) Casselberry of Fl; one daughter, Beth (Paul) Jennings of Branford, CT; two sisters, Katherine Bowman of Montoursville and Dorothy Walker of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
