Norman G. Hayward, 82, of 1506 Elwood Road, passed away at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018. He and his wife, the former Helen A. Lukens, were married on June 4, 1960.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1936, in Woodward Township, Clearfield County, and was the son of Philip and Velma Bower Hayward.
Norman was a 1956 graduate of Philipsburg High School and a graduate of Williamsport Technical School, now Penn College. He worked from Pullman Power Products and Shop Vac as a printer. He was an avid fly fisherman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Mark (Christine) Hayward and Jeffrey Hayward, both of Williamsport; two brothers, Lee Roy Hayward, of Osceola Mills, Kenneth Hayward, of Woodland; five sisters, LaRue Hayward Henderson, of Missouri, Phyllis Hayward, of Clearfield, Bernice Hayward, of Clearfield, Donna (Eddie) Ogden, New York, Sharon (Dave) Owens, of Clearfield; two grandchildren.
