James N. Porter, 76, of Loyalsock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at his home.
Born Aug. 17, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was a son to the late Frederick and Julia Porter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Sharon, and his brother.
James was the owner and operator of Porter Welding. He had many hobbies including bowling, and collecting rocks, antiques and coins. In recent years, he enjoyed going out to eat and the farmers market with his family.
Surviving are his three sons, Brian Porter, of Loyalsock, Chad (Nicole) Porter, of Loyalsock, and Danny Porter, of Laurel, Md.; three daughters, Michelle Cioffi, of Montoursville, Tammy Cimini, of South Williamsport, and Nicole (Ryan) Reighard, of Loyalsock; seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter; and his good friends, Donny Engel and Betsy Belcher.
