Francis Michael “Mike” Holter died on Friday, April 15, 2022 at UPMC Williamsport with his niece Dawn Ranck by his side.
Mike was born October 9, 1945 in Lock Haven, the son of Josephine Severino Holter and Robert Holter.
Mike graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1963. He joined the Air Force shortly after and was stationed in Japan and Viet Nam as a medic. After returning home he went to Lock Haven State College earning a degree in Biology. He loved people, had a very dry sense of humor and had a passion for cooking and gardening.
He worked various jobs including as a health inspector, at Pizza City and managed Schwarz Paper and Paint store until he retired.
He is survived by his brother Robert (Linda) Holter, of Carlisle; two sisters, Patricia (Harvey) Grasso of Castro Valley, CA and Ann Herr of Lock Haven; many nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents and nephew Greg Holter.
He was a giving person who always wanted to help and treated his nieces and nephew like his own.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the staff at Rose View Nursing Center who took amazing care of Mike.
