Charles L. Kane, Sr., 83, of 400 Old Rt. 15, Cogan Station, passed away on February 25, 2019 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing. He and his wife the former Beverly Strouse were married on May 10, 1958 and celebrated 60 years together.
Charles was born on December 19, 1935 in Williamsport and was the son of Stuart and Lillian Gage Kane.
He attended Williamsport High School until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Charles worked as an UPS Driver for 25 years. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the mountains that surrounded his beloved EL Dorado cabin. Charles was also a writer and had one of his books published. The most important part of his life was being a great husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by one son, Charles L. Kane, Jr. of Cogan Station; two daughters, Laurie (David) Patt of Trout Run and Debby Scott (Tex Frey) of Montoursville; two brothers, William B. Kane of Williamsport and Herbert G. Kane of Tampa, FL; one sister, Nancy (Howard) Biichle of Williamsport; four grandchildren, Emily Huff, Lydia Desanto, Tyler Scott, Layton Scott; four great grandchildren; Chase Huff, Caroline Huff, Jaxson Desanto and Finnley Desanto. He was predeceased by two brothers, Stuart Kane, Jr. and Lawrence Kane.
