Charles E. Parke October 6, 1923 - March 31, 2019

Charles E. Parke, 95, of Cemetery Rd., Montoursville, passed away on
Sunday, March 31, 2019 at AristaCare at Loyalsock.  His wife the former
Betty M. Howell passed away in 1988.
Charles was born October 6, 1923 in Williamsport and was a son of
George, Jr. and Dorothy Hubbard Park.
He was a 1941 graduate of Williamsport High School.  He served his
country during WW II in the U.S. Air Force as a First Lieutenant.
Charles was a pilot flying B-29s and P-51s.  He worked for the Chrysler
dealership on Washington Blvd from 1947–1951 and later for Aviation
Corporation (AVCO) for 31 years as an inspector.  He also worked for
Airport Hanger as a facilities manager. Charles attended Church of the
Good Shepherd and Trinity Episcopal Church.  He was a long time member
of Quiet Birden (LHV and IPT) Hanger, American Legion Post 104, Silver
Wings of PA and Quarter-To-Two Flying Club (Textron/Lycoming).
He is survived by his companion, Olive Gilbert Parke; several nieces
and nephews.  He was predeceased by three brothers, John Parke, James
Parke, George Parke, III and one sister Joann Chapman.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family in Twin Hills Memorial Park.
